Paul Byers was born On Dec 10, 1946 and called to sit with the great Artificer of the Universe on Feb 16, 2021. 

Paul was many things to a lot of people throughout his life. One of those is that he was our Brother.  He was always smiling and laughing, enjoying life because life was too short and lived life to the fullest.  Paul was a very generous man who loved doing things for people that needed help and his Brothers in the Masonic Community.  He was a huge part of our family.

He may not be here to guide us in our endeavors, but he certainly is guiding our hearts in the direction of “doing good”.  Paul was an excellent Mason, a true definition of the word Mason, with too many accolades and accomplishments to list.  The fraternity was blessed to have someone like Paul in it doing great work in the name of Masonry. 

His Wife Cathy, his daughters, stepchildren and the rest of his family will miss him greatly.  His spirit will live on through them along with his Brothers in Grand Chapter and Widows Sons of NJ and everyone that had the pleasure of knowing Paul.  There are so many things that you can say about him, but one thing will carry true to the end of time, there was only one Paul “ Papa Smurf “Byers.  If you got to call him family, you know it is an honor and a privilege to be able to do so.  Till we meet again Papa Smurf………………
